Change Personal Details

To make any changes to your personal details, we'll usually need notification in writing for security purposes. Simply download the relevant forms then complete and return them to the address detailed on the form. The whole process is nice and easy. Some amendments may have an administration fee, this is to reflect our costs. Please see our Tariff of Mortgage Charges (PDF) for further details.

We’ve included the changes that are most often requested below, but if you’re unsure about anything, or need to change any other details, please call us on 0345 300 8000* (Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm).

Changing your correspondence address

If you already have a correspondence address registered with Bank of Ireland and this has changed, you can update us in two ways. Either call us on 0345 300 8000* or write to us (all parties named on the mortgage must sign the letter) at Mortgage Customer Services Department, Bank of Ireland, PO Box 3191, 1 Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 9HY. When you do get in touch, it’s best to provide your mortgage account number and new contact details so we can change everything for you at the same time.

Change of name

If you've recently married or changed your name by Deed Poll, we’ll need to update your details. All you need to do is send us certified copies of relevant documentation (i.e. a photocopy of your marriage certificate, certified to be a true copy) and provide us with your new and old signatures (e.g. maiden name and married name) and we’ll do the rest.

Change of telephone number or email address

If you’ve changed your contact telephone number or email address, please call us on 0345 300 8000* (Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm) so we can keep our records updated.
