At Bank of Ireland Mortgages we pride ourselves on continually trying to offer the most helpful and affordable mortgages for your circumstances.
Discount mortgages lower your payments in the first few years to help you when you may have many other major financial outlays to consider (redecoration or new furniture for example). These rates give you a discount on our Standard Variable Rate (SVR) for a chosen number of years from the start of your mortgage.
Our Standard Variable Rate (SVR) is our basic rate that usually follows changes to the Bank of England's Base Rate. If we lower our SVR, your payments will go down. However the market can go up as well as down, which means that your repayments could go up too.
Please note: any discounted promotional rate will revert to our SVR after the agreed period.
