"We need our mortgage to change with our life"

Requesting statements and deeds

You'll receive a number of statements during the lifetime of your mortgage. Here's an outline of the types of mortgage statements you might come across - including details on what they show and how you can get them.

Redemption statement

This statement will tell you the amount that needs to be paid to close the mortgage account(s) including the balance outstanding and any fees and charges.
To request a redemption statement please call 0845 300 8000* (Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm) or email us at mortgage.services@boipluk.co.uk

Annual statement

Your annual mortgage statement is a record of all payments due and received on your account throughout the financial year. It is sent to you free of charge once a year and shows your opening and closing balance so you can see how much is outstanding on your account. This can't be used as a figure to fully repay your loan as it doesn't include any charges that may be due. If you want to repay your mortgage in full, then you'll need to request an up to date redemption statement.

Your annual statement can be used for tax purposes or to prove that you've maintained payments on the account. Please keep it safe as there's an administration fee for extra copies, please see our Guide to Standard Mortgage Charges (PDF).

If you have an easyflex mortgage, you may receive monthly statements instead of an annual statement.

Payment history statement

This is an interim mortgage statement that details all payments due and received on your account. It won't show any balance outstanding. It can, however, be used as proof that you've maintained the payments on your account. An administration fee will apply, please see our Guide to Standard Mortgage Charges (PDF). To request a statement please call us on 0845 300 8000* (Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm) or email us at mortgage.services@boipluk.co.uk

Interest certificate

This is a certificate to show interest charged on your account for a specified financial year, and can be provided to your accountant for tax purposes. To request one, please write to Mortgage Customer Services Department, Bank of Ireland Mortgages, PO Box 27, One Temple Quay, Bristol, BS99 7AX with the appropriate fee enclosed - please see our Guide to Standard Mortgage Charges (PDF).

Deeds

Deeds are legal documents that confirm who owns the legal title over the property. There may be occasions when you need to refer to your deeds e.g. to establish the boundaries of your property. If your mortgage completed after June 2001, we may not retain your deeds and they may be held electronically by the Land Registry. For further information please call us on 0845 300 8000* (Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm) or email us at mortgage.services@boipluk.co.uk
